Umpiring

With interest in Netball growing at an unprecedented rate, the need for Officials to service the game at every level has never been more important! Anyone over the age of 13 can become an umpire.

  • Netball has been a big part of my life in a playing, coaching and umpiring context for a number of years. It’s a great tactical sport and an opportunity to play with friends in a social, but competitive environment. With the modern day adaption of the game, it’s faster, well contested and exciting! Ultimately, it’s about enjoyment, participation and development - it is great to see everyone coming off court with smiling faces.

  • Volunteering for Guernsey Netball allows me to give back to the sport. Without the team of volunteers, Netball on Guernsey wouldn't exist and so we the team are extremely grateful for any help. Whether that's supporting with logistics, umpiring, ideas or funding. It helps keep the passion of Netball alive across Guernsey.

  • Netball has given me so many things over the years, from meeting my best friends, trips of a lifetime, too many memories, fun, laughter and more recently a career! I firmly believe that netball is a sport for all ages, abilities, shapes and sizes and it doesn’t matter what your background is there’s a space for you in the netball family.  My role as Director Of Netball allows me to combine my passion for developing the sport and encouraging participation for all ages with the drive and competitiveness of performance netball.
