The Guernsey Netball Association is seeking expressions of interest from potential directors with expertise in HR, legal, sports development, public relations and communications with a view to joining its board.
Guernsey Netball is in an exciting phase of development as it seeks to construct a new development plan for the next five years. It’s focus on continued growth and expansion requires us to have a diverse board who can lead and advise on a range of matters.

Act as support to the Head Coach and Assistant coach during camps and in between to ensure Athletes are informed of all details and support with logistics, kit arrangements and other team specific admin for competitions.
Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure all members of the team are informed of training arrangements.

Liaise with Head coach for logistics of camps.
-
Ensure admin support and development officer are informed of all plans.
-
Act as support to the Head Coach and Assistant coach during camps and in between to ensure Athletes are informed of all details.

Ensure equipment and kit is in place in advance of camps and fixtures.
-
Inform the team of travel and meeting arrangements for home and away matches.
-
WorkwiththecoachestorecruitplayersandathletestorepresenttheIsland.

Encourage players to conduct themselves in a professional manner and represent the Island with pride at all times.

Ensure that players/athletes do not bring the sport into disrepute.

Liaise with coaches regarding logistics and kit arrangements for competitions.

Deal with team/athlete entry into competitions.
-
Attend committee meetings as appropriate.

Operate in accordance with GNA policies and procedures at all times
Experience and skills requires:
-
Current Safeguarding and Protecting Children Certificate ESSENTIAL
-
Current First Aid Certificate ESSENTIAL
-
Strong administration and communication skills ESSENTIAL
-
Affiliation to England Netball ESSENTIAL
-
Experience of working with/ competing in sports teams DESIRABLE
-
Experience of supporting off Island trips DESIRABLE
Team managers must hold, or be willing to gain, a DBS check, safeguarding and First Aid training. Support in gaining these will be available through the GNA and Guernsey Sports Commission.
